The Art of Visual Storytelling: The World of Daria Yevstratieva

INTERVIEW

Daria, you have traveled through many countries. Why did you choose the French Riviera?

I have indeed traveled extensively and lived in different countries, but the French Riviera turned out to be a unique combination of aesthetics, climate, and culture for me. There is a high concentration of brands from the beauty, perfume, and luxury industries fields I am especially passionate about working with and for which I create advertising videos.

In addition, the atmosphere of the region itself the light, the architecture, the sea is incredibly inspiring visually. For someone who works with imagery, it is almost the perfect environment.

Tell us about the range of your work.

I create visual content for brands, from social media advertising videos to large-scale campaigns for billboards, websites, and media platforms. My specialization is the beauty segment: cosmetics, perfumes, and skincare. However, I love diversity and often work with other product categories such as jewelry, shoes, fashion, candles, food, and beverages. Sometimes I also take on industrial and corporate projects, transforming complex products into visually engaging and easy-to-understand stories.

I work mainly from my studio, creating different visual scenes and concepts for products. It is important not only to capture a beautiful image, but to create an atmosphere that conveys the character of the brand and enhances the perception of the product. In addition to studio work, I occasionally cover events and live experiences to capture authentic energy and emotion in motion.

Which brands have you collaborated with so far?

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with brands from different countries. Among them are British brands FYNE and Skin Design London, American companies Senté and Amberjack, as well as many niche brands in beauty, jewelry, fashion, and other categories. Each project is a chance to showcase the unique identity of a brand through visual content to communicate its style, mood, and values, and to make the product feel alive and relatable to the audience.

How does the creative process unfold?

Everything begins with a conversation with the brand: understanding which platform the content is intended for, what emotional tone is needed, and what visual language will resonate with the audience. Then I develop the concept and prepare a detailed shot plan: composition, lighting, textures, props everything is carefully thought through before the first shoot even begins.

The shooting process takes place in the studio, where every aspect of the lighting and atmosphere can be fully controlled. Afterward comes editing, color grading, and final preparation of the materials. I also create sound design, selecting audio elements that fully immerse the viewer into the atmosphere of the product.

In the end, I guide the project from the initial idea to the final frame, creating not just visual content, but a complete story with its own character and artistic signature.

What do you enjoy creating more: photography or video?

I have always been drawn to video because it is a far more complex process than photography. It requires not only mastery of lighting and composition, but also an understanding of movement, rhythm, editing, and the atmosphere of the frame. This layered and intricate process is both a challenge and a constant source of inspiration for me.

Through movement, light, and sound, I can create small stories around a product. For brands, this is especially valuable because video engages audiences more deeply, enhances emotional perception, and helps communicate the product’s personality and mood more effectively.

What are your future plans and upcoming projects?

I plan to continue developing my work in videography and to focus on larger-scale advertising projects for international brands. Among my future plans is expanding my services through AI-powered video content, which opens the door to new formats and innovative creative approaches for brands.

In the long term, I also aim to further grow the studio and produce larger and more ambitious projects while preserving my artistic identity and unique visual vision.
