A Symbol of Refined Retreat
Château de Théoule is a hidden gem overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and nestled in the heart of the Massif de l’Estérel, far from the hustle and bustle of the world. In the 17th century, a soap factory stood on this very spot, built by the water in 1630. Over time, the factory fell into disrepair, and in its place, a magnificent château was constructed later named Château de Théoule. In 1913, the estate was sold to Scottish aristocrat Harry Crawford Leland, who completed its transformation into the château we see today. Once a private residence for French monarchs, Château de Théoule has been reborn as an exclusive destination on the French Riviera.
Since 2024, it has been a five-star hotel, a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World, offering 44 rooms and suites. Decorated by antique expert and interior designer Marie-Christine Mecoën, the interiors reflect the elegance and sophistication of a place steeped in history. Some of the rooms are located in the original château each one unique, with refined décor and distinctive details where the Mediterranean Sea serves as an ever-present inspiration. Others are located in the hotel’s new wing, offering breathtaking sea views. Spacious and filled with natural light, these rooms are true havens of comfort, where every detail is thoughtfully designed for relaxation and well-being. The harmonious and subtly chosen color palette throughout invites guests to unwind and experience unforgettable moments.
The cozy bar, designed with Instagram-worthy decor, is the perfect place to enjoy refined cocktails crafted by talented barman ideal for catching up with friends or holding a business meeting. It’s also where delicious breakfasts are served. A generous buffet invites guests to savor the morning meal, with the option to order freshly made pancakes, omelets, or French toast.

The hotel’s exceptional spa center offers a rejuvenating sanctuary where body and mind can fully unwind. Guests can soak in a warm bubbling jacuzzi, relax in the sauna or hammam, or indulge in the outdoor Nordic baths with sea views. A variety of personalized facial and body treatments are offered, featuring the luxurious textures and enchanting fragrances of KOS PARIS skincare. The spa also showcases MyBlend – the first holistic beauty ecosystem that integrates supplements, skincare treatments, and state-of-the-art beauty technology.
Culinary excellence is embodied in the gastronomic restaurant Mareluna, which proudly earned its first Michelin star this year. High-end cuisine blending Italian, French, and Japanese influences is masterfully crafted by talented chef Francesco Fezza. In his kitchen, every gesture counts. Exceptional ingredients, precision, passion, perfection, creativity, and craftsmanship all come together to create a culinary journey where land and sea harmoniously meet. Each dish is a work of art.
The private beach, La Plage Blanche, is a gourmet paradise with a view of the sea. Sun loungers and parasols rest on the white sands of Théoule-sur-Mer, forming a serene oasis of relaxation and natural beauty. Delicious seasonal dishes are perfectly paired with a refreshing glass of rosé. All that remains is to settle in and enjoy the soothing ambiance.
A timeless place where understated luxury meets the Mediterranean art de vivre in a truly enchanting atmosphere.
