The International Gastronomy Festival “Les Étoiles de Mougins,” now in its 15th edition, took place as usual in the heart of the picturesque old village of Mougins.
Over the course of the weekend, the village was transformed into a true temple of culinary art. Entirely dedicated to gastronomy, the event welcomed nearly one hundred international chefs who came to engage with the public. This year’s guest of honor, Guillaume Gomez, former chef at the Élysée Palace and French Ambassador for Gastronomy, added an extra touch of prestige.
A VIP lounge hosted numerous renowned chefs who led workshops, tastings, and unforgettable show cooking, passionately animated by Les Toques Blanches. Additionally, cooking classes and workshops for adults and children, as well as insightful conferences, delved into fascinating topics surrounding gastronomy.
Two prestigious competitions showcased the next generation of culinary talents, both young chefs and pastry chefs. The 15th edition of the Roger Vergé Competition for the Young Chef of Les Étoiles de Mougins was won by Marjorie Frayssignes, a former student of EPMT, now working at La Table de Pavie in Saint-Émilion.
The festival also embraced the fight against food waste, culminating in the traditional grand finale show by Les Toques Brûlées, where more than 40 chefs cooked live, accompanied by music, using unused ingredients from the festival.
The numerous festival stands provided attendees with an opportunity to discover local products and the authentic flavors of the beautiful Côte d’Azur region. Highlights included book signings with culinary stars such as Luana and Alessandro Belmondo, Mercotte, Yann Couvreur, Guillaume Gomez, and Chef Joebarza.
The event concluded in grand style with a festive and gourmet gala evening held at Park Mougins, bringing together guests and participants in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
This anniversary edition reaffirmed the festival’s international DNA, celebrating the strong connections between France, the land of gastronomy, and chefs and cuisines from around the world.
