A Poetic Dialogue Between Literature, Craft, and Couture
This season, Wild Rose & Sparrow unveils its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Ex Libris,” a ready-to-wear triptych that transforms literature into couture. Designed by co-founders Ariana and Liana Dancu, the collection unfolds like a book — each chapter an ode to art, memory, and the eternal dialogue between words and garments.
Chapter I – Coven opens with a tribute to gothic literature, where darkness becomes allure. Reinterpreted Victorian silhouettes emerge in black lace, sheer tulle, and silk chiffon. Gowns float like mermaids beneath water, their translucent layers evoking the mystique of Klimt’s Sirens. The result is a powerful vision of sisterhood and strength, where romance meets rebellion.
Chapter II – Chevalière shifts the tone to medieval nobility. Scarlet replaces shadow in structured jackets and richly embroidered textiles reminiscent of ancient tapestries. Chainmail-inspired beading, antique keys, and fleur-de-lys ribbons reference the brand’s Montréal roots. The finale, inspired by The Lady of Shalott by Waterhouse, is a seraphic silk gown hand-draped in gold thread — a true masterpiece of craftsmanship.
Chapter III – Sonnets closes the collection with a whisper of poetry. Airy cottons, broderie anglaise, and Edwardian lace evoke tenderness and intimacy. Collars migrate from neck to waist, and sheer layers reveal the delicacy of human emotion. A tiered white cotton gown, open-backed and embroidered, encapsulates the brand’s essence — romantic, timeless, and unapologetically artisanal.
Through Ex Libris, Wild Rose & Sparrow continues to weave its unique narrative: literary fashion rooted in history yet undeniably modern. Each piece speaks of feminine empowerment, sustainable craftsmanship, and poetic storytelling. It’s a world where fabric becomes language — delicate yet enduring.
