Juana Martín Unveils “Fervor” in Paris

As part of the Official Haute Couture Calendar in Paris, Juana Martín presented Fervor, her seventh couture collection, reaffirming her pioneering role in fashion. The only Spanish woman to join this prestigious institution following in the footsteps of Balenciaga and Rabanne the Andalusian designer draws inspiration from one of her homeland’s deepest traditions: religious devotion.

Echoing the solemn processions of Holy Week, with candlelit marches, sacred imagery, and showers of petals, Martín crafted a wardrobe immersed in black ruán, the fabric historically worn by “nazarenos.” Striking contrasts of black and white, combined with bold jewelry and unconventional materials, convey both solemnity and passion.

Supported by Málaga de Moda and Plenitas, and enhanced by Francesca Bellavita’s Italian-made shoes, the collection reflects her commitment to Andalusian craftsmanship. With Fervor, Juana Martín transforms haute couture into a spiritual procession, merging cultural heritage and modern drama in a powerful Parisian showcase.
