Dany Boon is back with his new show “Clown n’est pas un métier !!”
At the Anthéa Theater in Antibes, Dany Boon delivered three sold-out nights of pure success. A long-awaited return to the stage for one of France’s most beloved comedians. It’s clear that he missed performing live. And so did we.
It’s impossible not to be moved by the tenderness and distress of the character he embodies so perfectly. A man sometimes overwhelmed by modern life, caught in absurd situations he masterfully turns into comedy. With boundless energy, sharp humor, and sincerity, he delivers a flawless performance. More than ever, he seems eager to reconnect with the stage. And it’s off to a great start!
After seven years away from live performances, actor and filmmaker Dany Boon returns to his first love: stand-up comedy. The show’s poster, featuring an old school photo, and its title immediately set the tone—a nostalgic trip back to childhood and school days. Dany Boon takes us back in time, sharing stories about his family, his youth, his joys and struggles, and the childhood dream that never left him: making people laugh.
He also humorously addresses a very modern issue—our addiction to social media. This problematic dependency that leaves us wondering: should we laugh about it or worry? One thing is certain: we must learn to live with it…
With 25 years of career and nearly 50 million moviegoers worldwide, our favorite Ch’ti, always tender and generous, continues his triumphant journey. Playing his signature dreamy, offbeat character, he masters the art of absurdity with remarkable finesse. His reunion with the audience was a moment of joy that the Anthéa Theater was proud to host.
“Cinema has taken up a lot of my time in recent years, but I really wanted to get back on stage. This is where I come from—it’s in my DNA: making people laugh live. There’s so much more freedom on stage than in films. It’s a fountain of youth. When we make people laugh, we elevate life, but there’s also something deeply physical happening.
I remember Raymond Devos, suffering from rheumatism. During a festival, I was on stage, he was in the audience. I invited him up, and it took him forever to move. But once he was on stage, he transformed and performed for 45 minutes!
And then, I get to reunite with my dear friend Isabelle Nanty. I’m a huge fan of her work, her vision, her humor. In the end, I think it’s great that so much time has passed. There’s excitement, passion, and the thrill of a beginner!” — Dany Boon
Since we can’t laugh about everything anymore, come laugh with Dany! A show that doesn’t offend anyone—except himself—and speaks best to those who remember “the way things used to be”.
